Mike Cook was born out of San Bernadino, California and is currently fighting out of Visalia. Boasting a 4-1 professional MMA record Cook is definately a rising star in MMA. Dedicated to the sport he has a strict training regimen: 2 days running (5 miles), 3 days weights, 2 days wrestling, and four days kickboxing. It is no wonder with his dedication to the sport mixed with his wonderful instruction from coaches, Frank Shamrock, Jeff Quinlan, and Tony DeMaria that he has such a great record for only being in the sport for a year.

 



Mike Cook recently appeared on BET's debut mixed martial arts show, "The Iron Ring". Cook fought on Team Nelly and was able to bring his team to victory!!! A video of his win over Olympic medalist can be viewed in his video section to the left.

MC: My drive to win.

MMASTARS: Do you have a hero, if so, who and why?

MC: My mother, she always provided for me and made sure I was loved.

MMASTARS: What are your thoughts on Frank Shamrock?

MC: He's very intelligent & a nice person. I thank him for helping me to increase my ability and character.

MMASTARS: Do you have any hobbies/interests outside of fighting?

MC: Helping my younger family members stay out of trouble, bowling, pool, & video games.

MMASTARS: Who has been the most motivatioinal person in your life and why?

MC: My children, they give me the drive to succeed.
