Juan Alcaine was born in El Salvador and is now fighting out of Sunnyvale California. His predominant fighting style is wrestling and he has been. He started MMA about a year ago to get in shape and his love for the sport lead him to competing.

MMASTARS: What is your favorite technique?

JA: Takedowns.

MMASTARS: What are your thoughts on Frank Shamrock and being a part of his team?

JA: He's one of the greatest fighters in the world. He's a man of honor who says what he means and means what he says. He's one of the most honest men I've ever met. It is an honor to train with Frank and it has been a life changing experience. I love training with him and my fellow team mates.

MMASTARS: Do you have a hero?

JA: My mother and father, becaue they are great parents and providers after coming to the counry with nothing.

MMASTARS: Outside of MMA what kind of things do you enjoy doing?

JA: I love watching movies, playing pool, and spending time with my family.

MMASTARS: When you were a young boy, what did you fantasize about becoming?

JA: A strong responsible man like my father.
